Timeshare Points

Timeshare Points Systems have become increasingly popular as an alternative to traditional fixed or floating week timeshares.

Resort based points programs are sold as deeded or as right to use. Points programs usually give the owner an annual allocation of points that is equal to the level of ownership. The point’s owner then uses the points to make bookings for either accommodation or services within the timeshare resort group. Most points systems are affiliated to large resort groups such as Hilton, Disney, Marriott, Wyndham, Worldmark, Hyatt, Diamond Resorts, Club la Costa and Petchey Leisure, all offering a wide selection of resorts and destinations. Resort points programs are designed to give greater flexibility to traditional timeshare ownership.

Some point’s club members may request short breaks as well as full or multiple week holidays. The amount or number of points required to stay at a resort or hotel will vary based on a points value system provided by the group. The points system will allow for things such as:

Some points systems allow members to exchange their points through RCI, Such as Club la Costa other resorts offer an internal exchange network to resorts and hotel within the group such as Disney, Marriott Vacation Club and Wyndham resorts

Club la Costa Vacation Club Points

Club la Costa Vacation Club is a point’s based system that can be used throughout Club La Costa's 22 fully owned and managed resorts including 3 resorts in the U.K.

All Club la Costa Resorts are serviced to the highest standards, because Club La Costa understand that a dedicated policy of resort refurbishments and improvements makes for better standard of holiday. Club la Costa Vacation Club points offer you choice of resorts and destinations giving you greater flexibility to suit your lifestyle. You can choose to use all your points on one luxurious holiday or depending on how many points you own you can spread them over a series of holidays.

Two recent examples are its new Yacht Club and its own Alpine resort in Austria. With the Yacht Club 'floating weeks' take on a whole new meaning (although this is actually a points based product) and enables members to have a 7 night multi-destination holiday, as sailing around means you stop off at several points.

RCI Points

When you join RCI Points, you transfer the exchange and use rights to your week(s) to the system this is called "ceding" your week. The week is then used by RCI and made available to all timeshare exchangers unless you state that you want to use your week ("home week") during a special window of time reserved for you to do this. After the window has passed, the week will be open to the RCI exchange pool. The resorts are rated by a “Key Rating” system which is as follows:- 1-5, 1-2 standard Resort, 3 – Silver Crown, 4-5 Gold Crown. The higher the key rating the more points are required to stay at that particular resort.

Marriott Reward Points

Marriott Rewards allows you to earn points or flying miles at more than 3,000 participating locations worldwide. Points can be redeemed for rewards that include things such as free hotel stays, frequent flying miles, holiday packages, cruises, car hire and more.

Marriott Rewards members are also entitled to exclusive offers from Marriott, Discounted rates at Marriott Hotels, and other travel services. At Present Marriott resale owners are not entitled to Marriott Reward points however they may still take advantage of joining Interval International and all the benefits of exchanging to all affiliated resorts including other Marriott Vacation Club Resorts. Interval International members can also make use of Intervals popular “Getaway Weeks” scheme.

Hilton Points

Members have guaranteed access to their own Timeshare for the week they own at their Home Resorts. Hilton has a growing pool of resorts in over 35 locations, including Las Vagas, Hawaii, Orlando, Portugal and Scotland. Points can be used for short breaks and holidays of 3 nights and more.

Hilton Grand Vacations Club also offers membership of the award-winning Hilton HHonors programme

• Switching ClubPoints to Hilton HHonors Points
• Stays at participating hotels
• Converting frequent flying miles with participating airlines
• You can purchase up to 20% of the HHonors Points required for Hilton HHonors Rewards
• Convert American Express Rewards to Hilton HHonors Points

Clients that buy Hilton Resort Resales may be required to pay an additional fee to join the Hilton Points program.

Diamond Resorts International Points

Diamond Resorts International Points at THE Club is a points based timeshare reservation and exchange system that allows members to holiday at a large selection of resorts and locations. This gives the owners greater flexibility than traditional fixed week timeshare ownership. There are many affiliated resorts and partners, members of the Diamond Resort points THE Club can holiday worldwide. In addition point’s members are offered other benefits such as travel services and discounts. Locations and resorts in the DRI Points club include ski resorts, Hawaii, The Caribbean, The Med, USA including Florida and Las Vegas and also timeshare resorts in the UK.

Diamond Resorts do not currently allow resale companies to sell Diamond Resorts Points. However we are happy to introduce potential buyers to other members in order to assist our clients.
