RCI (Resort Condominiums International) is the largest Timeshare Exchange Company has more than three million members worldwide. There are over 3,700 affiliated resorts allowing anyone who is Buying a Timeshare to not only stay at their home resort but to exchange with other RCI Timeshare members to take timeshare holidays throughout the world. Interval International like RCI are a largely a vacation ownership exchange company. Interval International has around 2,500 resorts in more than 75 countries worldwide. Although there are fewer resorts they are of a high quality. Brands such as Marriott Timeshare and De Vere Resorts have chosen to use Interval International as their preferred exchange company. Q. If i Buy Timeshare from your company can I join an exchange company such as RCI, Interval international. A. Yes, Most Timeshare Resales sold by us are affiliated to either RCI (Resort Condominiums International) or II (Interval International) Q. How do I exchange my RCI Timeshare or II Timeshare? A As an RCI Member the Timeshare owner first deposit their timeshare week into the system. Then they request an exchange at a like for like resort in a similar size apartment and comparable week. Exchanging your week with Interval International is largely the same however the main difference between RCI and II is that as a member of Interval International you do not need to deposit your week to request an exchange. Q. If I buy timeshare for 1 week can I buy additional weeks from RCI or II A. You can Buy Timeshare weeks from RCI and II in the form of Bonus Weeks from RCI or Getaway weeks with II. However you cannot rely on being able to get an adjoining week. If you holiday for 2 weeks every year the only way to guarantee you can have a 2 week timeshare holiday is to own 2 weeks in your chosen resort. Bonus weeks should be treated as that a “bonus” holiday, a last minute break or week away during the mid or low season. Q. When should I deposit my week and request my exchange A. You can deposit your weeks up to 2 years in advance and request your exchange either immediately or within 2 years of depositing your weeks. Many timeshare owners find that the sooner they start the process the better as the longer the week has been deposited the higher exchange power it seems to have. Q. I am Selling My Timeshare should I bank my week. A. if you are selling a timeshare it is better if the week is available for use by the person buying time share for the coming year. If you have already banked your week when you decided to sell a timeshare we can still be able to sell it as long the buyer doesn’t mind waiting for the following year’s occupancy. Q. I want to Sell My Timeshare. Can I transfer my banked RCI Timeshare weeks? A. If the new member is a member of RCI then you can transfer banked weeks and they work as an incentive for the purchaser to Buy Timeshare from you rather than another timeshare for sale. Q. Can I make an exchange and then let my family use the timeshare. A. Yes you can, you simply need to arrange a guest certificate from your exchange company. Q. When should I pay my exchange fee? A. You pay for you exchange when you request it. Q. I am Selling my Timeshare but I want to use a deposited week next year, is this problem? A. No, it is preferable if the timeshare for sale is available for use by the purchaser but if you have deposit weeks then you can still use them. |
